Changing the narrative

Everyone has a money story, a history, that has shaped how they interact with and use money. Part of our journey to debt-freedom, and now wealth-building, has been to change our relationship with money. As we worked our plan, our mindsets began to shift, our money habits and behaviors improved, and we began to see money in a new way. We started to see changes in other areas of our lives as well: in our health, personal development, careers, relationships, and our faith. Changing our money has changed our lives for the better, and we can experience what true financial freedom is: the power to choose. We are no longer controlled by our money; we control it.

“I firmly believe that everyone can build a life of financial prosperity; to build wealth so that they can live a life they love. Money is a tool meant to be used to fully live our purpose and to love the life we live.”

Amy’s story

I have always loved personal finance, however it often felt overly complicated. I could save, but I’d end up using that savings to pay off my credit card every month. I wanted the points, but not the finance charges!

It wasn’t until I was married with a baby, out of savings, and having to carry a balance on my credit card that something had to change. We stumbled across a simple step-by-step plan to guide us to a place of stability, security, and control with money. In just 24 months we were able to pay off $245,000 in debt, cash flow a new roof, furnace, water heater, and a round of IVF.

During those two years, I lost my job. We found, however, that I could choose to stay home because we were in control of our money. We had a plan, and while our income dropped significantly, we were okay because we had paid off some debt. We were intentional with our money.
